I recently concieved and completed a research project at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Advised by my mentor, Dr. Amy Hurst, I developed a software system for blind individuals to automatically and rapidly generate tangible 3D derivatives of traditional 2D graphs. Physical prototypes were then manufactured with a 3D printer and tested for design efficacy through a series of user studies. The paper is currently under review for publication in the 2012 Tangible, Embedded and Embodied Interaction conference in Kingston, Ontario CA.

I also spent the Fall 2010 semester abroad at the National University of Singapore on a student exchange program.
