Instructions for Lottery

The housing lottery can be a confusing process. We hope that information contained in these pages will help you better understand the steps you need to take.

Below is a breakdown of the process. Click on the underlined text to see more detailed information about that step. most of the information presented on this site is available in the Housing Lottery 2000 booklet you should have received.

  1. Make sure you are Eligible to Return to Campus

  2. Complete and submit an Intent-to-Return form (ITR) with a non-refundable $300 housing deposit to a residence hall staff member by Feb. 5, 2000.

  4. Receive your Room Selection Time and PIN

  5. Consider your options

    Visit Hall Open Houses

    Make a plan that considers several options

  6. On the day of Room Selection

    Check the List of Vacancies page about an hour before your Selection Period. This will allow you to reevaluate your room selection strategy, if necessary.

    Log on the Selection Page at the beginning of your Selection Period.
